The statue is part of a larger artwork of more than 500 permanent life-sized and monumental sculptures by

the English artist Jason deCaires Taylor.

All of the sculptures are fixed to the seabed and made from specialized materials to promote coral life.

The total installation occupies more than 420 square meters of barren substrate and weighs in at more

 than 200 tons.
