Myanmar의 고대도시 Bagan


이달 초 UNESCO는 공식적으로 Myanmar의 고대 도시인 Bagan을 세계 문화 유산으로 지정했다.

 3,500개 이상의 고대 불교탑, 사원 및 기타 종교적 건축물은 더 큰 Bagan 고고학 구역내에서 약16평방 마일의 옛Bagan을 차지한다. 

대부분의 구조물은 800년에서 1,000년전 Bagan이 왕실의 수도였던 사이에 지어졌다. 

2016년에는 진도 6.8의 지진이 이 지역을 강타하여 185개의 고대 건물이 피해를 입었다. 

복원 작업이 계속되고 있으며, 사이트를 보존하고 인기있는 관광지 방문객증가의 영향을 관리하기 위해 새로운 법률이 통과되었다.
