1.New Zealand

Few people on planet Earth have yet to hear about New Zealand.

Although English is the native language, and the island has long been part of the British Commonwealth, most

of the extremely rich cultural heritage of the Polynesian people, Maori has been preserved to this day, and in fact

is a tourist magnet for many.

Wellington is the capital, and Auckland is the largest city, although many will tell you that few come to New Zealand

to visit urban centers.

2.Kauai, Hawaii

The list of famous Polynesian islands will not be complete without the most incredible Hawaiian islands.

Not as impressive or volcanic as a large island, or populated like Oahu, the island of Kauai was on this list precisely

because of the lack of influence of modern civilization.

3.Nuku Hiva, French Polynesia

A French Polynesian island known as Nuku Hiva will help you get into the past.

The local city of Taihai, in particular, evokes images of the long-gone fishing villages of the times, although the

whole island seems to have no idea about the Old World.

4.Upolu, Samoa

Another destination is Upolu! Among world-class attractions and hospitality, Upolu boasts truly special things,

such as the world's smallest spider species and burial place of famous writer and researcher Robert Louis Stevenson,

and of course - To-Sua, also known as the most amazing oceanic worldwide.

5.Rarotonga, Cook Islands

The largest and brightest of the Cook Islands, Rarotonga joined the Western world through its discovery in 1823

by Captain John Dibbs.

In the West, Cook Islands is hardly the most populous place to stay on the Polynesian Islands.

It is,in fact,a relatively lonely place(if it can be said that such things exist)and, thus,a famous place for a honeymoon.

6.Easter Island, Chile

The place is definitely one of the most amazing historical monuments in the world.

Although technically it is Chilean territory, Easter Island has a name that is almost as well known as Polynesia itself.

The bastion of the ancient culture of the Polynesian Triangle and its southeastern point, Easter Island may be known

for its National Park and the statues of Rapa Nui, but it is also a natural wonder.

Nearly 1000 individual statues of moai have been recognized as an outstanding UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995.

But Rapa Nui National Park is a unique sight to explore in its own way: it boasts beautiful views of natural splendor

and an abundance of other stone monuments

; from houses and walls to petroglyphs. Island visitors are often embraced by a mysterious, ancient feeling,

7.Vavau Islands, Tonga

First, who does not want to visit the island in the form of a giant jellyfish?

In fact, some of the greatest aspects of the Vavau island group lie in the marine animals that live here

: whether they are beautiful coral reefs, almost full of colorful sea life, or the fact that this may be the best place

in the world to see humpback whales!

8.Bora Bora, French Polynesia

Many years of international tourism, especially popular among Europeans, mainly due to its association with what

is known as French Polynesia, is not occasional for Bora Bora, which boasts a fine blend of Polynesian beauty

and modern comforts.

Although most tourists come to enjoy the beauty of the famous lagoon, or, at most, climb the top of a sleeping

volcano, the island also boasts interesting remnants of Polynesian history, and some relics of the Second World War.

9.Tutuila, American Samoa

Tutuila is widely known as the largest island of American Samoa.

The capital, Pago Pago, also serves as the main harbor and is considered one of the deepest and most impressive

natural harbors not only in the South Pacific, but also in the world.

But, incredibly, the greatness of Pago-Pago can simply pale in comparison with many of the mountain peaks of

Tutuila and the stunningly lush tropical forests.

10.Niue

Limestone cave, Avaiki, Niue Island

Niue, a self-governing island, located near the main island of New Zealand (and indeed, the smallest self-governing

body in the world!).

This is a stunning little island, whose name literally means "see the coconut."

It is also the site of one of the most extensive coral atolls on the planet.

Although Alofi is an economic center and home to diplomatic affairs, the entire island is worth a visit for its beautiful

abundance of shady bays and rocky beaches, as well as its famous coral reef.
