The world's largest indoor tropical resort

 Tropical Islands Resort is an artificial tropical resort, located about 60 km south of Berlin.

It is located in svobodnostoâŝem, the largest dome in the world.

This is a huge construction, similar to the hangar is 360 metres long, 210 metres wide and 107 m high

and is supported by steel constructions weighing 14000 tons.

Here would fit eight football fields.

 

1. When 5.5 million square cubic metres, it is one of the biggest buildings in the world by volume,

and the largest without supporting pillars inside.

 

2. Building ordered as a hangar in November of the year 2000, but it never built.

The company went bankrupt in 2002, and soon opened a tropical island resort.

 

3. Inside the dome is the world's largest indoor rainforest with 30000 trees, shrubs and other plants.

 

4. Guests can laze on the artificial Beach 200 metres long, swim in the man-made sea all year round and enjoy

the weather at 26 degrees Celsius.

 

 

5. There are carnivorous plants, banana palms, coffee, Ivy, vines and other exotic flora.

 

 

6. Kilometre path meanders through the forest and a bridge over the mangrove swamp, which offers excellent views.

 

 

7. Windows on one side of the dome, and the sunlight penetrates through them, dropping to 500 species of plants.

 

8. Tropical sea bordered by sandy beaches and covered in small tropical islands with cane huts.

 

9. Swimming pools surrounded by copies of famous architectural wonders of Asia such as Angkor Wat, Balinese Temple Gate.

12. There is a swimming pool, which can hold up to 8000 visitors per day, a 25-metre water slide, mini golf course,

 restaurants, stalls, bars, health units and even a night camping on the beach "paradise".

14. This tropical paradise even has several environmental properties.

For example, processed water from the basin is used for watering plants, which resembled, in turn,

 grow out of the special soil composed of sand, clay and organic wastes, bark of trees.

 

15. But because of accumulating inside humidity water is gathered periodically at the top on the inside of the dome,

and then falls unexpected rains that only enhances the feeling of this rainforest.
