지난 이틀 동안 멕시코와 다른 라틴 아메리카 국가의 사람들은 디아 데 무에르토스 (Día de Muertos) 또는 죽은 자의 날을 축하하여 떠난 

가족에게 경의를 표하고 죽음을 삶의 일부로 기리고 있다. 퍼레이드에는 캐릭터 La Catrina, 무서운 해골 및 기타 죽음과 지하 세계의 아이콘이 표시된다.

 

죽은 자의 날(Día de Muertos) 

망자의 날은 죽은 자들의 날이라고도 불리는 멕시코의 기념일로, 멕시코인과 미국및 캐나다에 거주하는 멕시코계 주민들에 의하여 치러지는 행사이다. 망자의 날에는 죽은 친지나 친구를 기억하면서 명복을 빈다.
