올 여름, AFP의 사진작가 Valentine Chapuis는 프랑스 피레네 산맥의 오지에서 양떼를 돌보는 두명의 젊은 목자들과 함께 시간을 보냈다. Alisson Carrere-Sastre와 Soline Castet은 6월부터 9월까지 방목하면서 산 목초지를 찾아 돌아 다니면서 소와 양떼를 지키는 프랑스 목자의 최신세대 중 한사람들이다. 그들은 현대 장비를 착용하고 휴대 전화를 휴대 할 수 있지만, 도둑을 지키거나 이동을 사랑하는 개에게 의지하여 양떼를 인도하고 보호하기 때문에 전통적인 측면이 남아 있다.
