중동 일부 지역을 휩쓸고 있는 모래 폭풍

최근 몇달 동안 비정상적으로 많은 수의 모래 폭풍이 이라크,이란, 시리아, 쿠웨이트 및 사우디 아라비아의 일부를 삼켜 버렸다.

계속되는 일련의 폭풍으로 인해 수천명이 호흡 곤란으로 병원에 보내졌으며 공항, 학교 및 관공서가 폐쇄되었다.

공무원과 전문가들은이 지역의 모래 폭풍의 빈도와 강도가 농업 지역의 잘못된 관리, 지속적인 가뭄 및 기후 변화의 영향에 대해 비난하고 있다.
