1969년부터 2008년까지 작가이자 사진작가인 John Margolies는 미국의 고속도로와 뒷길을 여행하며 4층짜리 물고기부터 "내일의 거품 집"에 이르기까지 독특하고 일반적으로 기발한 길가 표지판과 관광 명소풍경을 촬영했다.의회 도서관은 2015년에 그의 컬렉션의 대부분을 인수했으며 여기에 온라인으로 이미지를 공유한다. 아래에 수집된 것은 단지 작은 선택, 흥미로운 구조의 전망, 일부는 오래 사라졌고,
