The boxing promoter Tex Rickard had built the world's largest indoor swimming pool for this event at the arena.

The Italian Caproni Capronissimo, a prototype nine-winged flying boat, sits in Lake Maggiore, Italy. With quarters for 100 passengers, it was the largest aircraft in the world at the time.

After a brief but successful maiden flight, the aircraft crashed on its second flight in March 1921, breaking apart on impact.

The Einsteinturm, or Einstein Tower, is an astrophysical observatory in Potsdam, Germany, named after Albert Einstein, and designed by Erich Mendelsohn. Construction was completed in 1921
