If the word Morocco conjures up images with narrow, like a maze, streets wandering among the old earthen buildings, then you are not alone.

 Ifrane, however, is different from any other city in Morocco. 

Located at an altitude of 5460 meters above sea level, in the Middle Atlas region, this small mountain town is more like the Swiss Alps than 

an area in North Africa. 

Houses with neat red roofs, blooming flowerbeds, a lake with a park - this wonderful European-style city is often called the “Switzerland 

of Morocco”. 

The lush greenery, cedar forests and pastures that come to life in spring and snow in winter fall in sharp contrast with the hot and dry climate

 of the rest of Morocco.

 Due to its accessibility, Ifrane serves as a resort for wealthy Berbers who flock here to enjoy winter sports.
