Africa Himba족

The Himba tribe is one of the few in modern Africa, where they continue to lead a traditional way of life. 

They do not enjoy the benefits of modern civilization and are not in a hurry to leave their native places for the sake of life 

in the city, and the women of this people are rightfully considered the most beautiful on the African continent.

Himba, whose number does not exceed 50,000 people, are the visiting card industry of the tourism industry in Namibia. 

People of the Himba tribe living in arid regions of the country provide themselves with livelihood, engaged in cattle breeding 

and gathering. 

Just like their ancestors hundreds of years ago, the hemb is bred by goats and cows. 

Their pets are not very well-nourished: the lack of succulent food affects. But lean goats and cows provide the tribe with 

nourishing milk, which, along with plant food, forms the basis of the hemb's diet. 

Meat they eat extremely rarely, only for great holidays. People of the Himba tribe are engaged in physical labor all day long: 

men graze livestock, daily leaving a few kilometers from the village, repair and build huts, women raise children, prepare food

 and devote time to needlework.

Their traditional dwelling is an ordinary clay hut, sometimes covered with straw. 

Food is prepared on bonfires, and the toddler has a porridge with his hands directly from the common boiler. 

Traditionally, the tribe practiced polygamy, but today this custom is often abandoned. 

Himba actively communicate with neighboring tribes and can enter into taking not only with representatives of his people.

It is interesting that many missionaries tried to convert the Himba people to Christianity. 

For more than 150 years, their tribes have been visited by white people all the time, but the Himba have remained with

 their traditional values. They believe in natural spirits in the same way as their ancestors. 

It is noteworthy that heba still prefer traditional clothes, which is especially noticeable for women. 

Skirt of goatskin, a lot of bracelets and a magnificent hairdo - these are the external signs by which you can easily recognize 

the women of this tribe. 

Among other African peoples, most of whom wear short hairstyles, the heba are distinguished by their long hair. 

Such beauty requires careful care: several hours a day these beauties are given cosmetic procedures.

 In conditions of a small amount of water and constant savings, the hemb will braid his hair in braids. 

And that they had to wash less often, the braids are covered with a special compound from a mixture of goat's milk, 

powdered ocher and spicy herbs.

But the care of the hair is not limited to the care of women Himba about its attractiveness. 

They daily fumigate hair and skin with smoke, and also rub the nourishing cream based on the same goat milk and ocher. 

Such efforts pay off with a vengeance: the women of hemb are known as the first beauties of Africa. 

Tall, slender, long-legged with stunning hairstyles and beautiful faces, they evoke genuine interest from the outside world. 

Visiting the villages of Himba is included in all tourist programs of Namibia. 

But, despite the growing interest in themselves, the tribe did not acquire those features of a flashy "identity" inherent in many 

peoples involved in tourism. 

They do not impose their souvenirs on guests and do not run dressed in traditional clothes before the arrival of another group, 

although they happily communicate with visitors. 

With the money, the women of heba buy food, mostly cereals, and also combs to care for their beautiful hair.
