Imagine living on top of a cliff at an altitude of over 1,700 meters. only one road leads here through a staircase of 720 steps. 

And the inhabitants of the Chinese village Guolyan live for more than 600 years.


Despite the harsh natural conditions, cheerful locals paved tunnel in the mountain with his bare hands in order to get in touch 

with the outside world.

Guolyan village in central China's Henan Province, has become the focus of public attention after Chinese media reported 

that the residents of the mountain village alone struck the rock tunnel to communicate with the outside world.

The village, located in the Taihang Mountains, has been home to a small group of farmers for more than six centuries.

In one of the most remote communities in China is now home to 83 families with a total of 329 people.


Called the "rocky corridor", a vital tunnel was built wide enough. Now, when a village became known all over the world, here tend to 

hundreds of Chinese tourists who want to see the countryside Guolyan, which has been dubbed the "most dangerous country of China.

" A large number of tourists even caused traffic jam in a tunnel.

The tunnel builders 35 windows were cut, which were originally used for discharging gravel and rocks, as well as to ventilate the tunnel 

and let in light. But now the window is used by tourists to enjoy the surrounding nature.
