Tulip is a genus of perennial , bulbous plant of the lily family . It is a herbaceous plant with showy flowers , of which about 75 species are wild .

1.  Tulips are grown everywhere , on the Iberian Peninsula ,   North Africa and Greece , the Balkans , Turkey , throughout the Levant

 ( Syria , Israel , the Palestinian territories , Lebanon , Jordan ) and in Iran ,   the Ukraine , in the south of Siberia and Mongolia ,

 as well as in the east to the north - west China .

2.  Now , when spring came and it was warm , the Chinese farm for growing tulips revived .

 Most Chinese farmers produce of blooming tulips complex patterns and designs , such as zigzags , ornaments and even a symbol of yen .
