This road passes through the Hohe Tauern National Park from Fusch an der Grosglokknerštrase

Draft Highway, named in honor of the highest mountains of Austria, was first discussed by a group of Austrian engineers in 1924 year.

But after 11 years, in August 1935 year Alpine Grossglockner road was officially opened.

According to the official website of the route, it enables travelers to get one-of-a-kind experience.

The road is like a decoration from belts, climbing between green mountain pastures, colourful flower meadows, rocks, snow and ice.

Noise of waterfalls, shrill whistling marmots and howling winds create an unforgettable Alpine Symphony.
