Pamukkale is a natural site in Denizli province in southwestern Turkey.

It includes 17 geothermal springs with water temperature from 35 up to 100° c and water terraces formed of travertine.

The water flowing down from the slopes of the mountains,

forming a bizarre system of reservoirs with limestone walls (travertines).

The dazzling white terraces (travertine) appeared on a mountain slope as a result of the

salt deposits of saturated calcium sources.
